One of the best ways to use viral marketing is in your affiliate program for your products. Affiliate programs are not viral marketing tools in every case. To be viral they need to automatically turn every customer into an affiliate. Who better to sell your product then the people who bought and enjoyed it.

How do you get your customers to become affiliates? First, you need to automatically enroll them in your affiliate program. If they need to fill out a bunch of forms to join, then most of them never will. Second, it needs to give them immediate gratification. Waiting 30-60 days to get paid is not immediate gratification.

So how do you do this? The easiest and most effective way I have found is by using the $7 script.

The $7 script is an easy to use script that makes it possible for you to sell a product and let other people promote it with their Paypal address and when someone buys the affiliate is paid directly into their Paypal account.

So everyone is basically already enrolled in your affiliate program because all they need is a Paypal account and it is instant gratification because the affiliate gets paid immediately into their Paypal account.

You can set the commission structure at 50%, 75% or even 100% or whatever amount you want.

I recommend that you do 100%. You might say, How am I going to make any money if I give away 100%?

You make money by offer a one-time-offer after they buy! But more importantly, in order to download your product, the buyer must give you their email address. So you are building a mailing list of BUYERS! I would take a list of 1,000 Buyers over a list of 10,000 freebie seekers any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

To give you an idea of how powerful this is, I set up one of my products with the $7 script and I have currently sold over 4,000 copies with absolutely no promotion. I have not recruited a single affiliate! It is all from my initial customers becoming affiliates and then those new customers becoming affiliates…etc. I also built a list of several thousand BUYERS at no cost to me!

The main thing you need to do with the $7 script is on your products Thank You Page make sure to explain in great detail how the customer can easily setup their affiliate link with their Paypal address and also put a message in your autoresponder followup series that again tells then how to setup their affiliate link. In both cases make sure to really stress the fact that they will be paid directly to their Paypal account.

This is HUGE and affiliates love it. So make sure to stress that point again and again. Then just let the viral aspect go to work and the sales come pouring in.

I should mention that none of this will work if your product sucks. So make sure your product is top notch and the virus will start on its own!

WebCEO allows you to find keywords, optimize your pages, find link partners, managa PPC campaigns, check your rankings, check link popularity and get traffic reports. It also has several more features, like submitting to search engines – which you should never do because you are better off having your site found from links from other sites but thats a post for another day.

This tool basically does everything SEO Elite does and it doesn’t cost a thing. Pretty cool if you ask me! It is not as user friendly as SEO Elite but is still really easy to setup and get going. It also lets you put in multiple profiles in case you are doing seo work for others or as a business.

I tested out the rankings checker feature and it works great. What I really liked about it is that is lets you sort the results in several different ways that can be very helpful. I don’t believe SEO Elite has this feature. It also let’s you check your competitors rank too.

Overall I think this is a great alternative to SEO Elite and it won’t cost a penny.

It is a great questions because the amount of links you have
pointing at your site is a MAJOR factor in how well your sites rank
in the search engines.

One way to get links is to submit articles to article directories.
But, Google is starting unrank many pages on article directories.
Just go to ezinearticles.com and look at some of the older
articles.  The PageRank bar is grayed out.

So here is a better way to use articles.  Instead of submitting
them to directories, go find other sites in your niche and offer
them content for their site.

Most webmasters will jump at the chance to get f.ree content for
their site.  Simply give them a unique article (one you have not
used elsewhere) and include a link or two in the article back to
your site (using keyword rich anchor text).

You will be surprised at how many people will accept your article
and post in on their site.  It is simple and fairly quick way to
gain valuable backlinks to your site.

Or…

An even better route is to join Article Underground and you will
get 400 articles a month. Then you can just modify them a little
and offer then up to other site owners.

Plus you get to post on AU announcement blogs that are PageRank 5, 6
and even 7.  Believe me when I say those links are powerful.  There
are over 60 at last count.  That’s a lot of links!

Talk about a waste of time!

I also dread going out and trying to get quality links to my site.
It’s just not something I enjoy.

But, quality content and quality links are the two most important
factors for getting high rankings in the search engines.  So even
if you don’t enjoy them you must do it to be successful.

Well, I have a little secret weapon that I use to take all the
grunt work out of getting links and writing content.

It’s called Article Underground.  AU gives you 400 optimized
articles each month and they also have 24 announcement blogs which
allow you to post links to your articles on to get quick, easy and
quality one way links to your site.

Now, it is not completely automated because you still must spend a
little time rewriting the articles to make them unique.

But it takes me a bout 10 minutes to rewrite an article compared to
the hour to write one by myself.  All you need to do is change the
title, rewrite a couple sentences in your own words, and add some
of your own insight.

It so simple and saves me a ton of time.

It’s easy to get started and all you need is a Google account. If you have an AdWords or AdSense account you can use the same login and password. Then go to:

Inside Google will tell you:

-Where you pages rank in Google Search for certain terms

-Top search queries for your site

-Top search query clicks for your site

-Show you broken links and pages they couldn’t find

-Index stats

-Analysis of cached robots.txt

-You can upload your sitemap and then rank how important each of your pages is

These are some great tool for all webmasters. You can learn more about what keywords are sending the most visitors to your site and you may find keywords that you never thought to target.

When I checked one of my sites I found out that 2 of my pages are unavailable and these were affiliate redirect pages so it was great to know because I was losing money due to these unavailable redirects.

I also found some interesting stats on what keywords people were using to find my site. Of course these can be found on your own traffic counter report but Google lays it all out in a very organized fashion.
