One of my favorite types of marketing has to be viral marketing. Basically viral marketing is a way to create a buzz about something you offer and encourage people to pass along your marketing message.
When I first got started in internet marketing I used viral marketing to help build my list and also to make a nice chunk of money quickly and I still use it in my business today. Below you will find a list of several ways that I use viral marketing in my business and you can use too:
1. Ebooks – This is far and away my favorite way to use viral marketing. Basically you create an ebook and inside the ebook you include links to affiliate offers or to your own products. Then you give the ebook away and allows others the right to give it away also.
If you give it to 100 people and they each give it to just 10 people…it is now in the hands of 1,000 people. And if they each give it to 10 people….you get the concept.
I have ebooks that I created 2-3 years ago and I am still getting affiliate sales and new subscribers from them.
The real key to this concept is to get the free ebook in as many peoples hands as possible. If you do not have a big list to initially give it away to then you can try these different ways:
-Participate in free giveaway events and use your ebook as your gift. Each of these events that I do usually results in at least 100-300 downloads of my guide and new subscribers.
-Upload you ebook to free ebook directories.
-Offer to let other marketers add your ebook to their thank you pages as a bonus or as a free gift.
Now the next question will be “What do I write an ebook about”? This part is critical because if you ebook doesn’t appeal to anyone then no one will ever want to download it. Make sure it is about a topic that is relevant and not outdated and make sure it provides great information.
Or, if you are lazy like me…You can use the Viral Ebook Explosion site where you get to use ebooks written by top marketers and insert your affiliate links into them. This site is actually so good that I wouldn’t even bother trying to write your own ebook. Just use one of the ebooks listed there.
